The DVR5100’s exceptional performance is enhanced by the use of EnduraStor™ storage space optimization technology. EnduraStor allows images recorded at higher frame rates to be automatically reduced to 2 ips after a pre-configured period of time, saving valuable hard disk space. EnduraStor, combined with powerful motion detection features and recording schedules, allows the user to take advantage of the DVR5100’s performance while optimizing the required storage capacity and costs.
A USB keyboard (supplied by the user) can be connected to a USB port on the DVR5100 to configure parameters quickly and easily. Convenient front panel controls with integrated joystick, jog and shuttle, combined with a simple and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), make using the DVR effortless. The front panel controls allow Pelco PTZ cameras to be operated using the Coaxitron®, Pelco D, or Pelco P protocols.
The DVR5100 uses the Internet IP network for remote access and control of the DVR. All connections are made via a protected and encrypted VPN session. For local networks, the DVR5100’s 1 Gigabit network port supports this impressive performance.
Flexible display options allow users to adapt the DVR to the specific needs of their application. Video can be displayed on composite NTSC/PAL, S-Video NTSC/PAL or VGA monitors. The main monitor can display 1, 4, 9 or 16 images. A combination of live and replayed images can be displayed on the same screen. The TruImage™ view displays the selected camera at the speed and frame resolution used for recording, so there is never any doubt about the quality of the recorded video. Now, adapting the recorded images is as simple as looking at the screen. In addition, a programmable spot monitor presents a sequenced display mode on a composite monitor for use as a call monitor or for public display.
With a maximum recording speed of 30 images (NTSC) or 25 images (PAL) per camera per second, in 4CIF resolution, the DVR5100 beats previous speed records for standalone DVRs. The combination of large recording capabilities, large internal storage space, remote access capability and the reliability and guarantee of Pelco products make this the ideal DVR for unattended video surveillance applications commonly found in stores, banks, educational institutions and hospitals.
