The 400 Series is distinguished by a number of performance-enhancing features, such as a 3-D digital color filter, DVI (digital visual interface) input, picture-in-picture (PIP) and USB hub. The 3-D digital filter for color signals with de-interlacing enables more precise processing of composite video signals, making the image sharper and clearer. DVI ensures that digital signals remain uncompressed (in their true digital format) without the distortion that can occur when converting from analog to digital. The PIP feature allows simultaneous viewing of images from surveillance cameras and PC screens. A USB concentrator offers a single input with three outputs, increasing the overall flexibility of the high-performance 400 Series.
The 400 Series has two composite video inputs (BNC) in circuit and one S-Video input. In addition, these models have an analog VGA input to allow the use of DVRs (digital video recorders) and PC applications. This multiple function – combined with high-performance features, reduced panel response time to reduce ghosting in moving images, ergonomic design, an internal power supply with automatic voltage selection, and low power consumption – makes the 400 Series the ideal replacement for conventional CRT monitors.
The 400 Series has a folding, portrait-type table stand, optional rack installation kits and VESA®-compatible fixing holes to make it easier to adapt to different wall and ceiling installations.
These monitors automatically detect and display the correct video format (NTSC or PAL) and are powered by an internal supply with automatic voltage detection.
The 400 Series uses long-life CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent tube) backlighting to maintain the brightness level at all times, eliminating the brightness degradation common in CRT monitors as they age.
Adjustments to the monitor’s default display parameters are made using user-friendly on-screen menus and front panel controls.
